NJ Secretary of Agriculture Douglas Fisher has requested the following message be shared with the farm community.
To assist farm operators in the provision of COVID-19 education, the NJ Department of Health has created a set of prevention messages that can be used as signage to be hung in common areas on farms. The messages are developed with low literacy in mind, contain few words, and provide basic information about face coverings, hand hygiene, social distancing, and where to get more information about COVID-19. Each sign is available in English as well as Spanish, Creole, Cambodian, French, Simplified Chinese, and Portuguese.
They can be found on the NJDOH at COVID-19 website in the section labeled “Information for Farmworkers.”
For your convenience, they have also been posted on the RUTGERS NJAES On-farm Food Safety education site under Printable Signs (or COVID-19 Resources Available in ‘various languages’).
